NAME THAT BEARING CAP!
Yes, I was the idiot that bought the lot of about 1000 bearing caps the other day. So, now it's time for that family fun game, NAME THAT BEARING CAP! three+ hours of sorting ended up separating the pile into 60 styles plus a handful of outliers. One humorous note: My plated version of the Pfl Buckeye STILL has no bearing caps after all this!

Oh, John...my new best friend! Mostly Shakespeare and a few Pflueger. They are not all "bearing" caps tho. Do you need ID's for all of them?

Have at it, Scott! ....and anyone else that cares to jump in. If you or any of you need some caps you see, just let me know and I'll try to accommodate you.
PS....yes, Scott, knew bearing cap was not the only role on display here, but figured I didn't need to sharpen that point too finely at this juncture

#9 appears to be a handle nut for a pflueger supreme.
I would like any unusual pflueger casting reels!

I'd like to see photos of the other 940 or so discernibly displayed.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)

Re: NAME THAT BEARING CAP!
There seems to be a few obscure ones in the lot. #23 (with the "S") is one used by Shakespeare for reels they supplied to Shapleigh Hardware. Don't see those every day. I remember I needed one for a Shapleigh reel I had years ago and never could find one before I sold it.

Re: NAME THAT BEARING CAP!
Tom, you gave me a great idea....what a killer jigsaw puzzle this would make! Anything over 100 pieces would take a week to put together!
Mark, that is, I think, the "S" cap is the only one that I only have one of. There are other sleepers there, as well, if you look closely. Some of the ones that have "holes" for oiling have tiny screws in them for adjusting bearing tension...can't hardly see without blowing them up.
Robyn, I believe that cap#9 has a close-able slot for oiling.
BTW, I just got offered the chance to buy a passel of the jeweled Shakes caps, if anyone is interested. The novelty has worn off for me

41 may be for a JVH. 37 may be for a Tripart or Takapart.

Re: NAME THAT BEARING CAP!
#37 is actually a brake (A.B.L.) switch from a Bronson reel. Or Shakespeare. The Meisselbach was hollow, with diagonal knurling. The more I look at all these, the more I have to turn away.
