President 2 fly reel
Does anyone know the age and how much a Shakespeare President II 7590 Fly Reel would go for?

I have no idea of value (you might check "completed listings" on eBay), but the No.7590 President II first shows up in Shakespeare's 1976 catalog.

It is also in the '79 & '80 catalogs, but not in the '81.

Hi there, those are nice ultralight magnesium reels only manufactured for a short period of time, along with the International series reels. Exc to mint the value is about $100 to $125. There is a mint condition one currently listed on eBay.

Really no "sales history" to go by, so the reel must be rather uncommon. This is the third time around for the one on eBay, so it's hard to say what the real value might be until one actually sells. Good looking reel, though.

Re: President 2 fly reel
Here's some info on the President and International reels. http://classicflyrodforum.com/forum/vie ... =72&t=3975 I have an International 2853 I purchased from a seller in the UK for $70 shipped and I'm happy with it! At the time, that was a bargain based on several previous sales. I've watched these for a while wanting to add the other sizes. The 3 or 4 I've seen have sold right around $100 and none were mint/unused. The lowest around $90. I would take the one listed on eBay for $100
