Yeh, I know it's probably cheating to cross-post on different pages, but I posted some questions and photos of a brass reel I acquired and would love help trying to figure out who made it, and when.

Richard-- check that thread; I believe I found the previous owner in an 1837 London election poll book.

Cheater! LOL I am so impressed with the knowledge that exists here, and the depth with which people go to find an answer! Impressive.
