Horrocks and Ibbotson question

Post by Reel Addictive »

A friend has this reel and was interested in more information. The best I can find through old threads is that it is after 1905 when the factory was built in Utica and before the end of WWII when the marking was changed to H-I. Uncleaned, it still looks to be in good condition despite the grasp being worn. I thought the value would be 25 or 30 bucks. Any idea how long the SHARK model was available?

Thanks

Likely from the 1920's, given the stamping. It's a least pre-1932, as it doesn't show up in any of my 1932-1940 catalogs.

Thank you Mark, I was hoping you would jump in.
It is not in my area of collecting interest, but I would middle man it if anyone has interest.
