Update on Dick Braun after his open heart surgery June 5

Here is the latest email that I received from Dick's wife, Sherrill, last night at 10:00:

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers from all of you! They have worked and we are very grateful. Today, Dick was given all 3 meals, he had several more tubes removed and they got him up and into a chair! He is alert and talkative. This evening he was able to browse lots of your messages on his phone. Tomorrow I will bring his laptop to him so he can send a few messages out and post on FB. They might move him from ICU tomorrow! Yeah!!!

Good news!

I just got an email from Sherrill. I was beginning to worry. But all is well. Dick is still in ICU because he needs an external pacemaker. He will be there until Monday and if he still needs pacing, they will put a pacemaker in Monday and be released Tuesday. Otherwise they will send him home on Monday. He walks 3 laps 3 times a day. No IV's. He looks and feels good. More when I get the next update.

Dick just got out of surgery with a new pacemaker. He is expected to go home tomorrow. He has done well and is very optimistic that he will be around many more years to pester us and keep us on our toes!

Dick is home! He has a pacemaker and is feeling better. Sore, of course, but doing well. He will be recovering for awhile. He will be unable to make the Branson meeting.
