Mystery reel.

Post by Benj1dog »

Hi i have recently acquired a reel which i am struggling to identify.

It is a small multiplier about 2 1/2 inches wide . It ha a burgudy "plastic" spacer and burgundy plastic handles of an unrecognized profile.

Reel is well made mostly stainless steel or nickel plated brass.

Interesting feature is that the levelwind can be removed quickly simply by removing knurled and slotted thumbscrew withdrawing levelwind spindle which then disengages square drive from opposite end allowing it to be slid out to the left.

I cant find any reels with similar handle profiles.

Only text on the reel is

TOURNAMENT
STANDARD

It has two brakes one on the spindle end like Abu, and the second being a spring loaded pin that can be pushed against the end of the spool using a screw mechanism.

Spool is aluminium.

All of the screw are knurled on the edge to aid removal with fingers after being loosened.
