Saw this reel on a table at a Sporting Collectables Show the other day and being a narrow spool reel it caught my attention. When I saw that it was a Bronson I picked it up as I cannot think of many Bronson narrow spooled reels. Went back later and bought it. Looked it up on the Bronson site and was surprised to read Robert's description of this as a very scarce reel; in fact, a reel he had never actually seen outside of a one-year catalog listing. Man, I miss Robert. I would love to have packed this up without saying a word and sent it to him just to hear his reaction. RIP Robert

I love to get old reels, work on them until they run as smooth as silk and the take them fishing using pre-1960 plugs, mostly surface fishing for Largemouths after dark.

Great find. My late father fished with Bronson reels and was retired US Army, so that reel is very cool to me,

Very nice reel. Good eye. I am always so jealous of the ones that can pick the jewels from the tired tables. You are definitely one of those.
