From ORCAn Wayne Real's great website (http://www.realsreels.com/reels/IGFA/), ABU made these reels in the late '70s- early '80's in response to lack of a reel in their arsenal that coiuld deal with large tuna. Wayne also gives a liink to an ad about these reels. Give that a read!
Don't see these reels often and if in great shape, I'm guessing you would have no problem selling it here if you chose to do so.
