Does anyone recognize this handle?
I know I've seen this handle before and it is bugging me that I can't remember the reel it belongs on.
- FEATURES OF NOTE -
- vom Hofe style fluted knob.
- Rounded finishes under counterbalance and knob.
-Squared out hole for handle fitting.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Ed

Re: Does anyone recognize this handle?
In my area of expertise I would say it probably goes on a fishing reel, although I can't be sure! Merry Christmas any how.

Sorry, best I could do. Would have had to move to Ca. to become intelligent!

Re: Does anyone recognize this handle?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, a fishing reel, I knew I had seen this handle on one before! Thanks for pinning that one down for me Jonathan, I sure appreciate your help.
Oh, and thank you too John Elder, I guess you helped a tiny bit too -
The rounded bumps under the knob and the counterbalance were so familiar but I just couldn’t drag the reel that it belonged to out of my rusty mental file cabinet

Re: Does anyone recognize this handle?
I think John E is likely correct that it’s a handle from a Cozzone. But I have seen handles very similar made across the Hudson River from New Jersey in Brooklyn by E. Holzmann.
In support of Dr. Elder, Ron Gast’s website luresnreels.com has this photo (first) of a Cozzone No. 5 surf casting reels and the counterbalance and grasp are nearly identical to the one Ed posted (second).
