Spiral Wind Patent Documents

Post by BAP-62 »

I have the original patent documents for 4 of the 6 US patents issued to Hyla F. Maynes maker of Spiral Wind reels. Anyone have an idea of what they may be worth?
Thanks, Brian

I have no idea of the value, but that's very interesting. The spiral wind seems to be a precursor to the Penn Leveline. The problem with that approach is that the line must rub on the leveling guide in order for it to work. The line must go up and over the leveling guide. That rubbing restricts casting distance.
