Meisselbach Leather Reel Bag ...

Post by reelsmith. »

Image

This nice leather bag came along with an Okeh 630 box I recently picked up.

The faded area says "The Fishing Reel of Quality".

I'm no expert on Meisselbach ...but I try to pay attention ...and have never seen one of these before.

I'm assuming they were an accessory ?

If they came with reels I imagine I'd have seen one (or a lot) before.

What's the story on these ?

Thanks.

Dean.

From what I've read in Phil's book, they were only supplied with the "Flyer" model. I recently found one with a "Tripart" and I know those never came with a bag.

Interesting.

I had a Flyer once, with the box and papers ...but no bag.

Maybe I found it now.

Dean,

Beautiful bag, the faded part is one of the Meisselbach US Trademarks, one of the most handsome, is my opinion.

Here's the complete Flyer reel and accessories. New in box. Roger owns this now.

If we concentrated on the really important things in life there would be a shortage of fishing tackle
