Montague, Hendryx or?

Post by BAP-62 »

Here's another one. I know the Sterling is a brand name for H.A. Whittemore of Boston. What I need is who made the reel, Hendryx, Montague or?? Thanks, Brian

John, I have a couple of Pflueger trade reels, the foot is close, but not the same. The handle, click, drag buttons and caps don't look Pflueger to me.

I bow to jim’s superior knowledge but it would have suspected the typical bumps on a hendryx foot, as on reel on right as compared to Pflueger ( on left and reels below

Blow up on Brian's reel:

I guess it proves there are few constants in the antique reel game
