Green Stuff on German Silver Reels in Contact with Leather

Post by RonG »

I know this has been talked about before, but I thought I'd share photos of a couple reels. They were both found in leather bags. Fortunately, the green stuff wiped off with a Miracle Cloth.

My solution to "green removal" --- put some Kroil on a cloth and wipe the green right off. It is fast and effective.
I love to get old reels, work on them until they run as smooth as silk and the take them fishing using pre-1960 plugs, mostly surface fishing for Largemouths after dark.
