ID help please

Post by Paul M »

Does anyone know what this is? Unmarked aluminum trolling reel with translucent red plastic handles. I'm not sure if the green finish is factory or fisherman. It has a finger twist control on the side that reminds me of one posted in the thread on Rogue. Sort of reminds me of a European reel design but I don't know. I assume it is a production reel, not home made. I am trying to help ID the reel for a friend.

I had a somewhat similar reel that I was told was made in France. Wasn't marked as such, but it was the overall consensus by everyone who looked at it.

Correct - Made in France. Search - Maginot reel , LM Dickson on eBay's completed listings for several examples. Cool reels , I think they are really neat. Jeff
