Bristol 66 fly reel and Hurd Spincaster

Post by dave preston »

Talked to Mr. Janek and Mr. Kalms regarding a click spring for a Bristol 66 fly reel and a sprocket for a Hurd Spincaster. If anyone has these I would be interested in acquiring them. These were reels my parents used when we went fishing in the early/mid 50's and I would like to use them again if possible Any information regarding these items would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know if my first message went through as it did not appear on the reel talk page.

Dave,
You should try contacting Ed Bingle.

He's listed under member websites too:
Ed's Rods1 website

Very nice man to work with - I highly recommend him.

Jim, you guys are great. I have received an answer on each reel in one day. I have tried many other venues but most did not reply. ORCA people are great.
I will take your advice and contact Mr. Bingle.
Yours truly
Dave
