Sad news... AJ campbell has passed away.
AJ was a great man and wrote the seminal book on antique fishing tackle that so many of us used when we started studying tackle history. He will be sorely missed.

That was terrible news yesterday. I got an email from Jeff Knapp, saying he went very quickly. So sad, as he touched so many of us with his incredible knowledge.

I bought a light rod from him years ago that started as a Duracane blank with the handle and reel seat made by Walt Carpenter and the wrappings, guides, and varnish by A.J. himself. Nice small stream dryfly rod, I still use it.
