Tragedy at Table Rock Lake

Post by Richard Lodge »

I'm sure many of you heard this news about what happened at the lake where we held the Branson ORCA convention.
A story about the capsizing of a tourist "duck boat" with at least 13 people dead:

Terrible. Children involved, too.

Unbelievable really, it featured on the BBC news.

My thoughts to those who are grieving.

Tragic. I appreciate the job Richard did driving our boat.

Amphibious land water vehicles are inherently unsafe and vulnerable to taking on water. I saw a restoration of one, and the toughest thing is keeping the water out of the engine compartment. I will never go on one unless it is totally clear and I know the boat.
