Maybe there could be a saltwater contest too
I don't know much about the fish from the area but I'd definitely be interested in tangling with an 8-legged mollusk. Friends tell me they've hooked giant octopus from bridges. According to reports the largest witnessed was 600 lbs with a leg span of 30 ft. That's gotta have suckers "as big as your head" and definitely a lot of sushi.
