Luxor reel question

Post by Airexguy »

In Ben Wright's book he refers to two types of early Luxor reels; Luxor Normal and Luxor Luxe. Does anyone know what this refers to? Thanks,

Wright, pg. 224: The first "normal" appears to be the fifth version, 1939, same as the fourth, 1938, but with no roller line guide. The first "luxe," 1939, was the same as the "normal," but with a roller line guide. From then on, Luxor made normal and luxe versions of each new model.
