Unmarked Pflueger "Delite" Reels?

Post by wrong99 »

Were the earliest No.113 Four Brothers (Pflueger) "Delite" models ALL marked as such? Did any come unmarked? Thanks.

I’m not the expert, but is this in reference to some specific reel that is in excellent condition? My Delite has no marking but is very worn and likely had one when new. I only ask because you always have such pristine reels and know so much more than I do.

James,
No, this somewhat worn and I know how lightly some were stamped. It is in the original early (1916?) Four Brothers box. I was just wondering if they came from the factory unstamped.

Delites were sold as trade reels unmarked. I had two, different sizes, both early. In its later years (post 1919) it is possible Enterprise stopped selling them unmarked, eventually selling out stocked marked reels. Have used a Delite trout fishing with bamboo. A delight to use and aesthetically cool. (deliberate play on words).

Cheers for HR Pflueger fly reels! Bad Bob
