Meisselbach No.130 "Ranger"

Post by wrong99 »

Anybody heard of this reel and what it may look like? I don't find a No.130 in any reference material or Phil White's book. The No.125 "Ranger" is from the "Okeh" series, but I clearly have a 1930's box marked "No.130 Ranger". Any ideas? Phil?

The No. 130 Ranger is one of the many cheap reels the A.F. Meisselbach Division of the General Industries Company was selling in the mid-1930s. It is sometimes referred to as the Arrow reel. The box I have says Ranger on it and No. 130. I have a picture of the reel from one of the catalogs that I could scan if you are interested. Just provide me with your email address.

A picture is available on page 60 in Phil White's book.

Thanks, Roger. No scan necessary.
