B. F. Meek & Son No. 25

Post by Reeltyme »

O.K. Guys, not my forte’. My neighbor found this reel in his house and wondered if it was worth a couple of dollars. I do not know what she’s worth but I know she has value. Can’t find any on the “bay” for comparison. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Ought to be worth at least $125-150. On a good day it might fetch $200-250.
Collect mostly Ky style reels; Meek, Heddon, Horton, Pflueger Redifor and Worth, etc.

+1...although it will take a heck-of-a- tailwind to clear $150, MHO.

Thank you gents. I say, wait until mid February when the refund checks start rolling in and put a really high starting price on the bay!
I will let my neighbor know. Not bad for a free find in your house. He gave me a total of 3 reels to check, but the other 2 were generic, low end.
