Harry H. Richardson of Beaver Falls, PA
I was in Beaver Falls today and recalled that Harry H. Richardson (and Joe Namath) were natives of that town. Richardson was known for patenting a unique level-wind mechanism that he assigned to the America-Meek Company. Ron Gast wrote a great article about Sylvanus Meek and his connection to the company in the September 2016 Reel News.
Richardson was a machinist at the Hartman Machine Shop.

Here is an old Level Wind reel photo that I have in with my many computer files. I have this file named "Bishop"; but, I do not know if that is correct. I have recently changed my computer for a new improved aka confusing model and as I discover old files in the transfer process that I have forgotten where they came from, I will post them when appropriate.
Hopefully someone here can tell me about this reel.

Mike, that's a Bishop "independent even spooler" attached to a Redifor reel. It's my photo. The device, the inventor, and his company are described on pages 146-7 of my book.

Thank you Steve. You must have sent me the photo years ago and as I was going through my old files I saw the photo but could not remember the particulars. I have now properly labeled the photo in the new Windows 10, making me crazy computer...………………..<:O(Mike, that's a Bishop "independent even spooler" attached to a Redifor reel. It's my photo.
