Little guy ID assistance

Post by corbo »

Advertised as a Hendryx, arrived, didn't think so, and sent it to Doc Elder with a badly bent foot as some dude stepped on it. Worked his usual magic, now can't tell. His opinion is JVH. 1 5/8 dia. x 1 1/8 wide overall. What you guys think? Smallest pillar I have seen. Rubber good and otherwise VG. Neat little keeper. Reel has no markings whatsoever.

That is a Julius vom Hofe reel as evidenced by the 1/8" hole in the foot which appears to be original not added later. Other characteristics, knob, rivets on back plate securing the spring and pawl, etc., confirm the ID.
