Early Heddon Reel Questions...

Post by John Savu »

I have recently become interested in Carter Era Heddon Reels. I have a #30, #35, #40, and #45, and I know they are all Carter Era Reels. I also have a #3-15, FJ #3-24, and a FJ # 3-30. My question is, are these Carter Era Reels also, or are they Welch Era Reels? I always thought Welch was credited with the Level Wind versions of the Heddon Reels, #4-15, #4-18, # 3-35 , etc...Before I look for variations of the 3 dash series non Level Wind reels, I would like to know. I have been able to find very little info on the early Heddon Reels. THANKS John
