I picked up an Abu Garcia Ten CL at a flea market.
I've searched the Abu site and others for information on this reel with no luck except for the schematics. It is a bit larger than the 7000 and in almost new condition. I paid $85.00 for it.
Is it still made? Worth $85.00?
Hi Boomer47, I checked my Ambassadeur schematics and found it listed as a 1984 model. I could not find a reference to a 10000 after that up to 2001. Yes I would say you made a good buy and is worth more than what you paid for it.
OK, I thought it sure looked like a steal. Now all I have to do is get it down to Orange Beach and crank up a few Snappers with it. Sure looks like it will make a good bottom fishing reel.
