Welcome to ORCA! Will we meet you at the national this year? Lots of fun and reels. Did I mention reels? Something for the wife or significant other to do also.

National is in Fort Lauderdale? We may take a trip down for the show on the last day. Work interferes most of the other days. Dad and I were looking at that last night. Which brings up his question, is there a place that lists small shows? He has been collecting reels, rods, and lures for about 40 years and loves the small local shows....

Here's a good starting point: http://www.joeyates.com/shows.htm but I'm sure there are other places, too.

The National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (aka NFLCC) lists all regional tackle shows. One or more is likely convenient for any collector across the country. Seems like one about every month plus a national meet.

Another place you can find many show listings is at the top of joesoldlures.com.

Brian is in the process of updating our list but in general, events of interest to our group are posted under Announcements on Reel Talk

6 issues yearly, USPS, months 1,3,5,7,9,11. Month 3, March, has the ORCA member, i.e. those who've paid, list with the names & their contact info. Roger will make sure you are right for the year with the magazine. Marion the Librarian, aka Jon Kring, can clue you in on the material check out and copy procedure. Past Reel News issues, and other goodies, can be purchased via the "ORCA Store": http://orcaonline.org/orca-store/ John, Brian and/or others will more than likely be along and add some more info.

I can probably give you a list of issues which have Plueger articles. Another new member who has an interest in Pflueger
Medalists just ordered several Reel News which had articles on Pflueger. Jon Kring
