In North Texas we have about 14 days of spring....not in a row of course.

In West-By-God-Virginia, the lakes and streams have lost their ice and the DNR is stocking rainbow trout.

I fired up the log splitter today and started getting a few cord ready to dry for next year because this winter used up more than its share.

OMG! That sounds like a lot of work, both in and out of winter. Out here on the prairie we're a little more civilized. We have NG & Elec for heat and we stay inside when it gets cold outside. In the spring we go do some :fished

Here's how I pass an Idaho winter. This 83 year old geezer doesn't use a power log splitter either. A Fiskars Splitting Maul does a great job and I get lots of exercise.

I'm with ya Geezer but I use this to fell the Trees .

It takes a little longer on a Big tree to run around to the other side to pull back on the other end of the saw .

Obviously, Henry, you get more exercise one mannin' that saw. :loco: My Mama taught me to use my time a little more efficiently:

So I have more time to search for, and purchase, "Old Reels". :jump:
