Once again, Mr. Miller has shown that he can touch a chord in my heart with his writings.
There is a stream that runs behind my old home in Pottersville, N.Y., that was the center of
activity for all the young men and women in our small town. It was there, that the boys learned how to fish and swim, the girls to swim. It was there that I went from a dedicated spinner and worm fisherman to a dedicated fly fisherman. Nothing like watching the hatch and matching it with one of your dries, and catching those
beautiful brookies.
The stream had fields and forest running beside it which provided for later trysts among the grasses
and pine needles. Need I say more.
Thank you for the memories Mr. Miller. Tom DuRose
