Does this make any sense?

Post by RAM »

ISIS is fighting everybody
Syria is fighting several groups of rebels and ISIS, but not Russia or the U.S.
Russia is fighting the rebel groups and ISIS, but not Syria or the U.S.
U.S. is fighting ISIS only and not Russia, Syria, or the rebel groups

When someone figures this out maybe they will all call it quits

Sounds to me like they are playing games. If Syria, Russia & the U.S. are all fighting ISIS. Why is ISIS still around? Think about it. Two of the strongest military powers on the planet and ISIS is still here.

They have been fighting each other over there for over 2,000 years. Neither the U.S. or Russia will stop that.

When you include the Kurds fighting ISIS, Turkey fighting ISIS and the Kurds, and Russia about to fight Turkey, it all becomes clear.

Forgot to add: Iraq is also fighting ISIS (with U.S. advisors) but not Syria, Russia, or the rebels.

The original split between Sunnis and Shiites occurred soon after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, in the year 632..."Shia believed that leadership should stay within the family of the prophet," notes Gregory Gause, professor of Middle East politics at the University of Vermont. "And thus they were the partisans of Ali, his cousin and son-in-law. Sunnis believed that leadership should fall to the person who was deemed by the elite of the community to be best able to lead the community. And it was fundamentally that political division that began the Sunni-Shia split."
As usual, both sides were right. Fortunately, the sects of all other major religions have always gotten along swimmingly.

They don't know how to exist over there without fighting between and amongst themselves. ISIS best not surface in N Korea or :loco: Kim Jong Un will blow the whole damn middle east off the face of the earth.

It's always a great idea to insert your country into the middle of 1,500 year-old tribal warfare. Guaranteed to work out well every time. Gee, I wonder how world wars start?
