Nice blades, Jon! Too nice to use! But if you are like me, you can use one of the other 60 pocket knives that have somehow ended up in your sock drawer!

Don't forget one in your suitcase, travel bag or coat pocket. :P You may get violated by TSA.

Very nice collection, JP.

Every once in a while I see a vintage Case knives dealer case on eBay. Bet those would make an excellent display.

Thanks. Received one in the tin from my brother once. Bought the fishing knife because I could remember my dad having one that looked like it in his tackle box. His may not have been a Case but looked the same. Bought the Kentucky Bluegrass one after the convention at Frankfort. Others just accumulated along the way. I'm sure the dealer cases would be nice. In my old age I've tried to cut back looking on e-bay for more stuff. I've got Buck Knives, Cutco outdoor knives, Shrades, Uncle Henrys, Sogs and many lesser kmnives. They would go wellif I had room with the 750 or so fishing reels. Trying to slow down on the accumulating of stuff.

What a surprise when the mail came today. Almost better than Christmas. An Amazon.Com box arrived and I'm thinking what did I order now that I'm going to have to explain to my wife? I was very surprised when I opened it and found Case Knife number seven from Colby Sorrells. I knew I liked him the first time I met him in Ft. Wayne at N.F.L.C.C. a few years back. ( The last package I received was some reels I bought from John E., which I intercepted at the front door and took directly to the reel room to avoid 20 questions) Thank you Mr. Sorrells!!
I was going to post a copy of his note but kept saying File too big. In essence, here is what he said: Jon, I didn't see a canoe in your collection so just a little thanks for a thankless job. Colby Sorrells ( Is that great or what?)

My thoughts exactly. A great bunch of people. I think the first time I ever saw Colby, I was with my son Paul at registration for NFLCC in FT. Wayne. He heard me tell them my name at the registration table and because of a little tale I had told on myself one time on Reel Talk about getting very sea sick fishing on Lake Erie , He said "Oh you're the guy who got sick fishing on Lake Erie."! thought well at least someone reads the Reel Talk posts. Way before I became "Marian The Librarian".
