Show dogs are surgically muted. Loudest thing at a dog show is the audience.
Not suited as watch dogs. If they weren't it would likely be chaos.

BB, where did you ever hear or read such a thing? I owned several show champion German Shorthaired Pointers and have attended many dog shows. Granted, I've been out of the dog business for many years, but I've never heard of a muted show dog. They all barked if they wanted to.
If we concentrated on the really important things in life there would be a shortage of fishing tackle

Obviously misinformation. But it is legal and it is difficult to believe several hundred dogs are so well trained none bark. Does AKA forbid it ?

Meant AKC. I also understand they don't bar such dogs from the show. Probably more misinformation.
