Got a spare reel stamped "Pflueger" or a Montague Imperial?

In Germany carp are a sport fish. Entire glossy magazines are devoted to fishing for them. The carp have names . A report would read Horst caught Frieda yesterday. She weighed 27 lbs 4 ounces. Gretchen caught her 3 weeks ago and she weighed 27lbs 2 ounces.last year Hans caught her and she weighed 26 lbs 12 ounces. And so on. They use 10ft and longer rods. If I could read German I could give the whole story. Ach du Lieber..whatever that means.
you can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.

Cheap fun! They are like freight trains. I used to make a very effective cornmeal carp bait with maple syrup.

I travel to Serbia frequently for work and carp are indeed a sport fish in this part of the world. I posted a few pictures about some of my carp fishing adventures in Serbia a while ago. I'm sitting in Serbia right now as I write this but its not fishing season right now.

Here is a link to some of the things I posted last summer
