How to help us get new ORCA members

Post by Paul M »

I just read about a fascinating study on the persuasiveness of a personalized sticky note. The short article can be read at this link https://www.hbrascend.in/topics/the-sur ... icky-note/

It gives me the idea that whenever an ORCA member sells a reel to a non-member, they could attach a yellow sticky in the package with a handwritten personalized note saying something like: “Bob, thanks for buying this reel. You might enjoy becoming a member of ORCA - http://www.orcaonline.org, Regards, Paul”.

I am also thinking about how this will help get results by using stickies at home on the fridge door, the bathroom mirror and the microwave door. Now if only pets could read!

This is a nice idea, Paul. I am a very small volume seller, but usually include an ORCA brochure with any reels I sell. Maybe I'll start putting a sticky note on it too!

Bet that custom sticky note pads might be cheaper than brochures. I wonder if we should get a quote. I would buy a pad from the club.
