WTB - talbot meteor. Mars and comet

Post by seansr34 »

Just starting my Talbot collection I picked up a star and figured I'd start with the lower grade models and build from there if anyone has one available please let me know I would appreciate it

Sean,

There's a Talbot "Meteor" on eBay you might be able to get for a fair price. The eBay listing number is 131725583158
Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing.

Hope Sean got that one. Looked to be in nice condition and the price wasn't bad at all for a nice Nevada made Talbot Meteor.

$243.50 was a great buy on that Talbot reel.

It certainly was. You don't often see a Meteor sell for a the price of a Star.

Hi Warren! I lost my password for this site and finally got back on it. I really appreciate your offer to talk with me about Talbot reels. They are my favorite by far! I now own two, a comet and a star but am wondering where to go from here (the addiction has set in!). I am hoping to purchase another soon but they are few and far between on e-bay and I haven't had any luck locating them anywhere else (reasonably priced). I would love to get some insight from you if you are available. Thanks so much!

Sean,

I have a Meteor I might part with. I will have to wait till I get back to Florida to take pics of it providing my house is still in tact.
Collect mostly Ky style reels; Meek, Heddon, Horton, Pflueger Redifor and Worth, etc.
