Not much needs to be said about this reel. It is rarer than rare. Hardy factory records indicate only 13 were produced. How many survive today is anyone's guess, and this one is near mint, with original leather case. Please PM me if interested.

Thanks,
John

Thanks to those who have made offers on this reel, some of which were very close to what I was looking to get out of it. Yesterday, I decided to give it a total breakdown, cleaning, and re-lube. When I opened it up, there was not a hint of corrosion anywhere on the insides, not even a hint of dust. I cleaned everything in mineral spirits, and re-lubed with Hot Sauce oil/grease. I then gave the exterior a light hand-polish with a fiber-cloth and Simichrome. The pictures speak for themselves.

There is always some risk associated with purchasing a reel over the mail, without being able to inspect it, spin the crank, and give it a good listen. Me personally, I always factor that risk into my offer. But I tell you what, this gem is as near perfect a Hardy Zane Grey as you are ever going to find. I've seen a lot of them in my travels, but none as nice as this one.

I am also open to trades.

Cheers, and thanks for looking!
John
