This 4-Brothers (Pflueger) "Egalite" fly reel is the "1904" model, which measures 2.5" in diameter.

This example is in very nice shape with most finish remaining and only minor wear.

It is very tough to find these reels with any finish at all ...let alone this nice.

As scarce as the reel is, the box is downright rare and is dated February, 1931.

The box has a stain on the lid, as shown. All seams are tight and intact.

Please see pictures for condition.

A tough combination.

$375, shipped, or trade for all kinds of stuff.

Thanks for looking.

Dean: Exceptional opportunity for some Pflueger collector. The reel seems to be in far better condition than most as those little rascals were easy to ding. The box? Know of only one other-in Stu's collection.

The name "Egalite" had me baffled for awhile. Finally came to me. French: Liberte! Egalite! From the Revolution. Should accute accents over the eees.

This reel only available in 1931 as best I can tell. Scarce reel-Rare opportunity!

I have one of the reels and can't afford the box, but a great find for someone. Good luck!

I had a very nice egalite that I sold to Craig Barber three or four years ago. I don't remember if I had the box or not. But knowing Craig, he probably had the Box and needed the real.

Nonetheless, this is a really nice combo and I would also like to have it if I were adding anything to my collection. But trying to downsize as we speak
