Cleaning and servicing a 50+ year old TW 300 today that someone decided to add graphite grease over some old stiff stuff, evidently to try to loosen things up a little. That crap may work O.K. but it turns everything it touches black, including penetration into the metals, and it takes forever to get rid the residue without removing any paint. Hope I never run into that garbage in a reel again.

Re: Graphite Grease
I totally agree with ya ,Tommy .
That stuff is good on Sparkplugs on Aluminum Heads and if you really want to screw up a lock put graphite in one!!! Brake cleaner will remove it from the metal but may remove the paint as well, but on bare metal it is great.
