Hi,
I have a small collection of fishing knives that I display with reels and lures. With South Texas humidity, I have noticed that some of the older (pre-stainless) knives have begun to get rusty. I was going to clean them with vinegar. Is this the best way? Also, can I coat them with oil or wax to prevent rusting from kicking back in? Any thoughts
Thanks!
D

David, i would wet some 0000 steel wool with lubricating oil or a rag if rust is not that bad and wipe down the blades to remove any rust, then coat them with Rig or other gun oil to prevent rust from coming back. I'm sure there are any number of light oils that will serve.
