Hi Everyone,
I have a couple of reels that I'm trying to figure out what to do with. One has softened paint finish from the use of oil, the other has some slight corrosion/paint bubbling.
Any suggestions on salvaging the oil softened paint (besides not touching it!)? How about the corroded paint/finish?
I was thinking about dipping in Pledge Floor Care wax. This stuff leaves a water resistant slightly shiny finish and is used by museums to preserve fossils and the like.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
George
