That could have saved one of my patients....

I went to clean a reel the other day and when I opened the container I regularly use for vinegar/water bath, I discovered a reel I had inadvertently left in the bath 2 weeks prior. :bash:

Most of the reel came out unscathed but whatever metal plating covered the spool shaft had disintegrated, leaving thin wire and disconnected plastic end bells. At least it wasn't too rare or valuable. I have a whole new respect for watered-down vinegar and would be happy to use an alternative method :lol:
