Pflueger Akron 1894L - Blowout Diagram?

Post by slanej »

Hey, folks:

I just found my Dad's old Pflueger Akron 1894L reel in the basement, and I want to use it a couple of times before I retire it. I figure Pop would have wanted it that way, since it was the reel on which I caught my first fish (Northern Pike).

Anyway, Dad used cheap mono line (as opposed to the braided stuff I used to cut my young hands on) later in life and it "bird-nested" inside the action.

Does anyone know if Pflueger has a blow-out diagram that shows the proper disassembly/reassembly for this particular reel?

I'm pretty handy mechanically, but I don't want to pop the reel apart and not be able to put it back together.

If we can't get a blow-out diagram, any advice you all have is most appreciated.

Remember, this is a Dad and son thing.

I look forward to your response(s)

Best Regards,

E.

You can download that exploded drawing right here on the ORCA web site:
http://orcaonline.org/exploded_drawings.htm
Just go to that page and look under Pflueger.
