Robert's Show and Brag

Post by robert ellis »

Some of you probably saw this Bronson Fleetwing No.2475 (a $5.00 reel!) on the Bay recently. It has a thumb drag device attached to it. The main spring sits under the LW pillar! The device says Patented-- M.F.G. by Babcock Reel & Tool M.F.G. & Sales Co. Licensed to Pachner & Koller Inc. No patent number or where it was made!

So Steve or someone can you find the patent number for me :type: so I can find out where it came from and the when part? Thank you :)

Steve just sent in the patent number, U.S. patent # 2,257,521 Inventor Verner E Babcock filed Nov.1, 1940, issued Sept. 30, 1941. Copy and paste that patent number into this Google patent search page, to see the drawings and info! https://www.google.com/patents
