That's a nice, historic reel. I particularly like the raised rim plates and the patina. The marking is icing on the cake.
According to a website which exhibited a few straight razors and cutlery products sold by this company, "...the firm (c.1881-1901) grew out of Bradford & Anthony which had been formed in 1856. They were at 374 Washington Street, Boston, Massachusetts.. The trademark "HUB" was used on their cutlery products. The name of the firm was changed to Dame Stoddard & Company in 1901."
