It was fun, and a lot of work, taking this guy apart and cleaning it. It didn't look like this when I got it.

Nice work! I love seeing these classics fully dissasembled. I am a big game reel repairman, and the quality, and workmenship in these old reels always amazes me. Looks like the anodizing was a little on the thin side, but the reel turned out great.

I revisited this post and was wondering if you have pictures of the rig completed. What type of rod tip and butt did this rig have :?: Having just the reel assembly is rare; but, having the reel, rod tip and original handle could easily put this item into a milestone collectible category :shock:

I have the rod tip, but not the butt. The photo above shows how the tip indexes onto the cradle. I'll take a photo of the tip in the next couple of days.
