In this crazy silent video from 1934, I don't see how the rod and line shown with the reel were able to withstand the shock of dragging a large shark at that speed through the waves. It looks like they used a rope. Anyway, being that both the reel and blimp are from Akron, can anyone recognize if one or both of the fellows dressed in suits are part of the Pflueger family? Ted maybe? Was it a publicity stunt for Pflueger Reels? This spectacle happened at Fisher Island Florida on February 12, 1934.
