Montague made CASCADE in PRITZLAFF Marked Box

Post by scottorock »

Correct reel with original 2 piece "chimney" box. Condition looked too good to be true for age so I bought it for curiosity sake. Appears legit after closer inspection and honestly, why would someone reproduce this combo? Thought the PRITZLAFF sticker on the box is pretty neat as well. Will clean up pretty nicely. Figured I'd post for the archives.

That combo appeared in the 1924 Pritzlaff catalog.

I love those early Montague "Trade" boxes. I always meant to start a collection of those. Something about them. Thanks for sharing.

I love the original boxes. Just picked this up. Circa 1920's trade reel built by Union Hardware Co. and supplied exclusively to Edward K. Tryon of Philadelphia, who owned the trade marked series of "Crown" reels.
