I was in my reel room the other day and saw this and was trying to figure out where I got it? Normally when I buy from a member, I put a name on it. I finally determined this was in a group of reels I had purchased from my "old" friend John Elder. I then figured if he parted with it, it probably was nothing special. It is kind of neat looking. Made in New York. I probably have many that I have no idea where I procured them from.

Holy crap, Jon...just saw this pop up from September?. Glad to see how much you cherish your "old" friends....and the gift I stuck in that is worth more than the entire lot you bought! I wondered why I never heard a response.

You might try running Perez through the search program and have a look on the FRR site.

Probably because I may not be operating on all cylinders, perhaps not playing with a full deck, and definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed!!

It's a beautiful reel. Art Deco styling.

Yes, and he is a nice guy. He is still trying to make up for suckering me into being "Marion The Librarian" for three years. He's a Hoosier at heart!

But you've done such an awesome job, Jon! My hat's off to you... :jump: ...hope the top of my head doesn't get sunburned, though.

That's me, always a day late and a dollar short! Maybe I only look when I get a notification!! Once again, that's what happens when you are old and slow and can't see like me.
