May Be my best Christmas Present In A Long Time

Post by Jonathan P. Kring »

I received a package in the mail today from a friend whom I will not name. Probably because I recently said in a post about Ky. reels the only one I would ever have is a Louisville Montage. This Bluegrass Reel No. 33 by B.F. Meek and Sons , may be the best reel in my collection of over 800. And even better yet, it was a gift! WOW Pictures as usual are bad!

Clearly, your friends aren't from "low places". Nice Christmas present, Jon. Good things happen to good people!

thoughtful gift, and a really great reel

Mine is from the same years, with the same ivorine handle, c. 1910, before they packed up and moved to Connecticut (1913).
I have a good macro of the patent dates, which are '04 and '05

If you have an old bait rod, this is also a fun reel to cast
