Tuna Club OFFICIAL Heddon Rods

Post by wrong99 »

Here's a set you won't likely see for sometime. Late 1930's Heddon No.44 bamboo set consisting of the detachable handle and Official 12 oz. and 9 oz. tips (per Tuna Club specifications), along with the original carrying case. I know it's not reels, but I still think they're cool after all these years.

They also made this No.44 with a 16 oz. tip. Fairly beefy. In the early 30's, Heddon offered a whole array of models, from light salt water to tuna rods. They're hard to find, as they were basically built-to-order and few were originally sold. Heddon was a very late entry into the salt water market, with their first model available in 1927. They did make some beautiful salt water rods.
